Ingredients

  • Pigeon Pea Lentils
  • Salt
  • Spice Mixes (2 spice mixes)
  • Tomato (not included)
  • Onion (not included)
  • Oil (not included)

Cooking Directions (Stovetop)

  • Soak – Lentils in warm water for 20 minutes, then strain.

  • Cook – Onions & Add Spice Mix 1 in a large pot over medium heat until onions are translucent.

  • Add Tomatoes & Spice Mix 2, cook until the tomatoes soften.

  • Add – Lentils & Water, bring to a boil.

  • Simmer – Reduce heat, cover. Simmer about 30 minutes, until the lentils are tender.

  • Optional — Add salt to taste or garnish with cilantro.
